No Matter What! By Jenny Ford

When I first started writing books and became an author nobody was more surprised than me, and I shall tell you why.

I was never an A* student at school, actually, I was very rarely there at all, I would walk through one gate and straight out the other, something I’m not proud of but that’s how it was for me then. School bored me to tears, I left with no GCSE’s or O’Levels as they were known back in the day, my spelling and grammar suffered a lot, it has improved massively since then, but I still do find it a challenge at times. Was writing books on my list of things to do? Definitely not, was becoming an author a dream? Heck, no way.

After having four gorgeous children, one of which is my beautiful angel in heaven, I felt something was missing in my life, don’t get me wrong my kids were and still are my priority, even though they are all grown up now, but I needed something for me, and that’s when I went into beauty. I started out late in life and went to college as a mature student, me, a student again, a laugh right! But this gave me a purpose, something I enjoyed. Amazingly I passed my City and Guilds with a distinction in Manicure and Pedicure, can you imagine that. I then went on and did lots of diplomas in other beauty treatments, and even started up my own business as a mobile beauty therapist. After many years and becoming quite successful at what I did, it all came crushing down on me like a ton of bricks, I was diagnosed with MS and life completely changed for me.

Years of depression set in, that time of my life was dark, but through a friend introducing me to meditation my life completely changed. I became more focused and accepted my MS, it was then that I also had a spiritual awakening which led me into writing. I have been very blessed to have been given the tools so that I can help and inspire others on their journey, through my written words of inspiration, positivity, empowerment, and healing. I had now found my true life’s purpose.

You see, no matter what obstacles life throws at you, what your background is, or where you come from, know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I’m proof of that. We may start out in life going in one direction only to be guided on to another path of our journey, a much better one. I am a great believer that everything happens for a reason, and to expect the unexpected.

I am now a multi award winning inspirational author and intuitive writer, who would have ever believed it. If only my teachers could see me now! Remember, you are a beacon of light that will shine for others to see.
